Shlomo came to Israel after surviving the Farhud pogrom in Iraq and was among the founders of Kibbutz Kissufim. He was kidnapped from his home in the kibbutz. On February 11, 2025, the IDF announced that he was murdered by Hamas and that his body is being held in Gaza.
